Our Mission
The mission of the Portland State University Student Chapter of the American Society of Civil Engineers is to promote professional development, provide networking opportunities with engineering professionals, and to have fun while attending school through community outreach, activities, teamwork, social interaction, and professional interaction.
What We Do
The PSU Student Chapter of ASCE offers many activities to enhance the engineering education experience. This includes guest speakers, field trips, community service projects, career fairs, workshops, and social activities. We also have competitive teams: steel bridge, concrete canoe, environmental design, sustainable solutions, and seismic design. These teams provide excellent opportunities to apply the engineering concepts learned in academic courses to hands-on projects.
